1. Disconnect 6-way connector from stop lamp switch pigtail.
2. Using an ohmmeter work at the switch side of the connector with brake pedal released. Check for continuity from dark blue and red tracer to yellow with red tracer wires.
3. Check for continuity from white with pink tracer and white wires.
4. Check that there is no continuity between pink and white wires.
5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 with brake pedal depressed. The results should be opposite.
6. If proper results are not obtained, the stop lamp switch must be replaced.
