Fuel Filter: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
NOTE: Fuel system pressure must be released prior to opening the fuel system. Service and Repair
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable, and remove the fuel tank cap.
2. Raise, and support the vehicle for access.
3. Loosen clamps and remove fuel filter hoses from the inlet and outlet fuel filter nipples. Remove the mounting bracket bolt, and remove the filter.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the new filter assembly on the mounting plate. Check the direction of flow by the markings on the filter, and ensure it is correct.
2. Install the mounting bolt, and torque to 8 Nm (75 lb-in)
3. Install the inlet and outlet hoses, and clamps. Tighten the clamps securely. Lower the vehicle. Reconnect negative battery cable.
