CALIFORNIA EMISSIONS RECALLS # 514, # 516 & # 517 -- VECI LABEL REPLACEMENT
^ This service action is separated into three separate 1990-1991 Model Year vehicle recall groups, each requiring a different new VECI label. For recall numbers and model descriptions, see the dealer recall notification letter.
^ New Vehicle Emission Control Information (VECI) labels are being mailed directly to owners of affected vehicles for installation by them. If preferred, owners are instructed to request dealer installation of the owner-supplied label.
^ Extra labels are available from the Los Angeles and San Francisco Zone Service Offices if needed. If ordering a label, be sure to select the proper label part number for the vehicle and recall involved, as listed in the Parts section of the letter.
^ When submitting a service claim, be sure to use the correct labor operation number for the vehicle and recall involved. The correct LOP must be used to ensure proper payment.
