Transmission Temperature Sensor/Switch: Testing and Inspection
Oil Temperature Sensor Inspection:
1.
Disconnect the Oil Temperature Sensor connector.
2.
Measure the resistance between the Oil Temperature Sensor connector terminals.
Resistance 16.7 - 20.5 k ohms @ 0 °F
8.0 - 8.2 k ohms @ 68 °F
0.57 - 0.69 k ohms @ 212 °F
3.
If the measured resistance does not match the value shown, replace the Oil Temperature Sensor.
