Airbag System Diagnostic Module (ASDM)

Removal

1. Disconnect and isolate battery ground cable, then wait at least 10 minutes prior to performing services.
2. Remove forward console, if required, as outlined under "Dash Panel Service."
3. Remove module and bracket attaching screws.
4. Carefully lift module up and rearward, disconnect electrical connectors, then remove the module.

Installation

1. Position module and bracket facing forward, then connect electrical connectors and lock into position.
2. Using locating tab, place module and bracket on lower bracket.
3. Install module and bracket supplied attaching screws. Torque to 35 inch lbs.
4. Install forward console.
5. Do not connect battery ground cable. Refer to Air Bag Systems/Testing and Inspection/Procedures for proper procedure.
