Alternator: Service and Repair
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove
alternator belt.
2.
On 1996 models, remove windshield wiper housing.
3.
On all models, remove
alternator mounting bolts and separate alternator from bracket.
4.
Remove B+ terminal, field terminal and ground/wire harness nuts, then remove electrical connectors.
5.
Remove
alternator from vehicle.
6.
Reverse procedure to install.
