Fuel Filter: Service and Repair

WITH QUICK-CONNECT FITTINGS
1. Relieve fuel system pressure as outlined under "Precautions."

Fuel Filter Location. With Quick Disconnect Fittings:

2. Remove fuel filter retaining screw and remove filter assembly from mounting plate.
3. Wrap a shop towel around hoses fittings to absorb excess fuel.
4. Remove quick disconnect fittings at filter and supply tube.
5. Remove filter and discard clamps.
6. Reverse procedure to install, testing system for leaks.

WITHOUT QUICK-CONNECT FITTINGS
1. Relieve fuel system pressure as outlined under "Precautions".

Fuel Filter Location. Less Quick Disconnect Fittings:

2. Remove fuel filter retaining screw and remove filter assembly from mounting plate.
3. Loosen outlet hose clamp on filter and inlet hose clamp on rear fuel tube.
4. Wrap a shop tower around hoses to absorb excess fuel.
5. Remove filter and discard clamps.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Test system for leaks.
