Brake Warning Indicator: Testing and Inspection

Normal Operation
The brake warning lamp illuminates when parking brake is applied with ignition key turned ON. The same lamp will also illuminate should one of the two service brake systems fail when brake pedal is applied.

TO TEST SYSTEM:
1. Turn the ignition switch to the start position. The lamp should light. If lamp fails to light inspect for:
- A burned out lamp
- Loose, corroded or damaged socket
- A damaged circuit board
- Broken or disconnected wire at the switch

2. Turn ignition switch to ON position and apply parking brake. The lamp should light. If lamp fails to light inspect for:
- A burned out lamp
- Loose, corroded or damaged socket
- A damaged circuit board
- Broken or disconnected wire at the switch
