Cylinder Head Bolt Torque and Pattern:

Fig. 14 Cylinder Head Bolt Tightening Sequence.:

1. Install short bolts in positions 7, 8, 9 and 10.
2. Torque cylinder head bolts 25 ft-lbs
3. Torque cylinder head bolts 50 ft-lbs
4. Loosen bolts, then torque 50 ft-lbs
5. Tighten bolts an additional 1/4 turn without using a torque wrench.
