Service Procedure

Note:
To ensure customer satisfaction, remember to record all radio settings and to reset all electronic memory (clock, radio settings, etc.) when you have completed the service procedure.




1. With the ignition OFF, remove the instrument panel bezel around the radio.




2. Remove two (2) screws which secure the radio to the instrument panel.
3. Remove the radio from the instrument panel using a side-to-side rocking motion.
4. Disconnect the antenna lead and all electrical connectors.
5. For Neon (PL) vehicles only: Transfer the ground wire bolt and eyelet connector from the old radio to the provided radio.
6. Connect all electrical connectors and the antenna lead.
7. Install the radio in the instrument panel using a side-to-side rocking motion.
8. Turn the ignition to the accessory position and verify that the radio and cassette function properly.
9. Turn the ignition off and install the two (2) radio to instrument panel screws.
10. Reinstall the instrument panel bezel.
