Heater Hose: Service and Repair

NOTE: Review Cooling System Precautions before proceeding with this operation.

REMOVAL
1. Drain engine cooling system.
2. Using spring tension clamp pliers, remove the heater hose clamps from the heater hose at the block, and at the heater core.
3. Carefully rotate hose back and forth while pulling away from the connector nipple.

CAUTION: When removing hoses from heater core inlet or outlet nipples, DO NOT exert excessive pressure. The heater core may become damaged and leak engine coolant.

INSTALLATION
For installation, reverse the above procedures.
