Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Interruptinging battery voltage to ECM terminal "R" for a period of 10 seconds will clear all stored trouble codes.
- This can--usually--be accomplished by removing the ECM fuse--if equipped--from the fuse block.
- In some cases it may be easier to disconnect the negative battery terminal.

NOTE: Disconnecting the battery will also erase radio, clock and Trip Computer programming.
