Known good HEI modules and new HEI modules from service stock may not meet test requirements when using the HEI tester (J-24642), if the tester ground has a poor connection. When using the tester, connect or contact the alligator clip for the tester ground directly to the flat metal surface on the underside of the HEI module. The metal eyelets on the module do not always make a good contact with the metal ground plate on the underside of the module and, therefore, should not be used when testing the module.
