Assembly Removal

1. Remove clutch plate and hub as outlined previously.
2. Remove rotor and bearing assembly retaining snap ring with tool J-6083, Fig. 8. Mark position of clutch coil terminals. If only clutch rotor or bearing are to be replaced, bend lockwashers away from pulley rim mounting screws, then remove mounting screws and lockwashers.

3. Using tool J-25031, Figs. 9 and 10, remove clutch rotor and assembly parts. If pulley rim mounting screws were removed, only clutch rotor and bearing assembly will be removed. Clutch coil and housing are pressed onto compressor front head and should only be removed if the pulley rim mounting screws are left.
