Fig. 12 Installing rotor hub bearing:

1. Using tools J-9481 and J-8092, drive rotor bearing into hub. Align bearing squarely with hub bore before attempting to drive bearing into bore, Fig. 12.

2. Stake bearing, Fig. 13. Use caution, however, not to stake too deep since this may distort bearing outer race.

3. Press rotor and bearing assembly onto compressor front head with tool J-25029, Fig. 14. Install assembly retaining snap ring.
4. Assemble pulley rim to rotor and bearing assembly and install mounting screws and new lockwashers. Ensure pulley rim is rotating in proper alignment, then torque mounting screws to 100 inch lbs.
5. Install clutch plate and hub assembly.
