Low Oil Pressure
1. Low oil level. Fill to full mark on oil level indicator.2. Slow idle speed.
3. Incorrect or malfunctioning oil pressure switch.
4. Incorrect or malfunctioning oil pressure gage. Replace with proper gage.
5. Improper oil viscosity or diluted oil. Install oil of proper viscosity for expected temperature, or install new oil if diluted with moisture or unburned fuel mixtures.
6. Oil pump worn or dirty.
7. Plugged oil filter.
8. Oil pickup screen loose or plugged.
9. Hole in oil pickup tube.
10. Excessive bearing clearance. Replace if necessary.
11. Cracked, porous or plugged oil gallerys. Repair or replace block.
12. Gallery plugs missing or misinstalled. Install plugs or repair as necessary.
13. Oil drain back from engine block. Install oil filter with internal check valve.
14. Oil flow check valve ball stuck closed. Replace oil flow check valve.
15. Camshaft worn, or poor machining. Replace camshaft.
16. Worn valve guides.
