Compressor Replacement

Compressor And Mounting:





REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

^ Recover refrigerant from A/C system, Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling. Service and Repair

1. Serpentine drive belt.

2. Front upper mounting bolt.

3. A/C compressor splash shield.

4. Electrical connections from compressor.

5. Bolt attaching A/C compressor and condenser hose to rear of A/C compressor.

6. Remaining compressor bolts and compressor.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. Rear and lower front mounting bolts after positioning compressor (hand tight).

2. Lower vehicle.

3. Front upper mounting bolt and torque all bolts to specification.

^ Tighten Rear bolts to 26 Nm (20 lb. ft.).

^ Tighten Front bolts to 50 Nm (37 lb. ft.).

4. Raise vehicle.

5. A/C compressor and condenser hose to rear of compressor and attaching bolt.

^ Tighten Bolt to 33 Nm (24 lb. ft.).

6. Electrical connections to compressor.

7. A/C compressor splash shield.

8. Serpentine drive belt.

^ Evacuate, charge, and leak test A/C system.
