Timing Chain: Service and Repair
Fig. 11 Valve Timing Marks. 1990-91:
1.
Remove front cover as described under
FRONT COVER. 2.
Loosen
camshaft bolt, this will aid in preventing camshaft from moving off timing marks.
3.
Align cam and
crankshaft timing marks, engine at T.D.C.,

Remove
camshaft bolt, then
timing chain and sprockets.
5.
Reverse procedure to install,
torquing camshaft bolt to 43 ft. lbs.
