Brake Light Switch: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect electrical connectors from switch, then pull switch out of retaining clip on brake pedal support.
3. Depress brake pedal and push replacement switch into retainer until switch shoulder is bottomed against bracket.
4. Adjust switch by pulling brake pedal back against stop.
5. Ensure switch has continuity when pedal is depressed from normal rest position and when pedal fully returns to rest position stop lamps are off.
