System Diagnosis - Secondary Testing

1. Connect engine analyzer to view parade display of ignition system secondary.

2. While slowly increasing engine speed from idle to 2,000 rpm, compare engine analyzer display to the parade displays below.

SPARK PLUG DIAGNOSIS

Spark Plug Diagnosis:

1. Remove spark plugs, and inspect them for carbon deposits and damage. Ensure spark plug gap is at correct specifications.

2. If plugs are satisfactory, reinstall and check for a mechanical or fuel system problem.

3. If plugs are not satisfactory, clean or replace as necessary.
