Ignition Coil: Service and Repair

Ignition Coil Assembly:

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Ignition coil electrical connectors.
3. Disconnect spark plug wires. (Note proper relationship of wires to coils).
4. Igntion coil assembly (3).
5. Ignition coil assembly from engine.

INSTALLATION

1. Install ignition coil assembly to engine.
2. Install ignition coil assembly to block bolts (3). Torque to 10 N-m (89 lb in.).
3. Connect spark plug wires to proper coils.
4. Ignition coil assembly electrical connectors.
5. Connect negative battery cable.
