Troubleshooting Hints

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. Check Fuse 2 in RH I/P Power Distribution Center by visual inspection.
2. Visually inspect trunk lid release solenoid connector and associated wiring.
3. Check that the gear selector lever is in PARK.
4. Check that the valet switch (if equipped) is in UNLOCK.
5. Before component replacement, check for poor terminal contact at component and related harness connectors.
6. Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
7. Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove good in a continuity/voltage check with system disconnected. (Refer to Troubleshooting Procedures.) Diagnostic Aids
