Diagnostic Information and Procedures

1. Set vehicle trim height at recommended curb, and measure from a level floor to rocker panel or rocker molding.
2. Briefly start and run engine.
3. Apply load to rear of vehicle, such as two people, or about 136 to 159 kg (300 to 350 pounds).
4. After a 17 to 27 second delay, compressor turns on and vehicle starts to rise. It should rise to within 19 mm (3/4 inch) of the measurement made in Step l by the time the compressor shuts off.
5. Remove load from vehicle.
6. After 17 to 27 seconds, vehicle starts to lower. It should lower to within 19 mm (3/4 inch) of the measurement made in Step 1 in less than 3 1/2 minutes.
