Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Transmission oil pan and filter. Refer to "CHANGING TRANSMISSION FLUID AND FILTER."
2. Electrical connectors from control valve body components.
3. Torque converter clutch (TCC) solenoid bolts/screws and solenoid with O-ring seal.
4. Wiring harness bolts/screws and lay wiring harness aside.
5. Pressure switch Bolt/screw (80) and pressure switch (68).
6. Manual detent spring bolt/screw (64) and manual detent spring (63).
7. Remaining control valve body bolts/screws.
8. Manual valve link (705).
9. Control valve body (67).
Inspect
- Control valve body (67).
INSTALL OR CONNECT
Important:
- Install all valve body bolts/screws then torque in a spiral pattern starting from the center. If bolts/screws are torqued at random, valve bores may be distorted and inhibit valve operation.
1. Control valve body (67) and manual valve link (705) to transmission case (10).
2. Control valve body bolts/screws (43).
Tighten
- Control valve body bolts/screws shown in sequence to 11 Nm (97 inch lbs.).
3. Manual detent spring (63) and manual detent spring bolt/screw (64).
4. Pressure switch (68) and pressure switch bolt/screw (80).
5. Miring harness and wiring harness bolts/screws.
6. TCC solenoid, O-ring seal and bolts/screws.
7. Electrical connectors.
8. Transmission oil pan and filter.
