Oil Level Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in general information.
2. Drain the engine oil.
3. Disconnect the Engine Oil Level Switch electrical connector.
4. Remove the Engine Oil Level Switch from the oil pan.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the Engine Oil Level Switch.

Tighten
Tighten the switch to 17-27 N.m (13-20 lb ft).

2. Connect the Engine Oil Level Switch electrical connector.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Add engine oil to the correct level.
