EGR Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the electrical connector at the EGR valve.
2. Remove the 2 base to flange nuts.
3. Remove the linear EGR valve assembly.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

1. Position the linear EGR valve assembly and hand start the two nuts holding the EGR Valve to the adapter.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 29 N.m (21 lb ft).

2. Connect the electrical connector.
