Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Service and Repair

NOTE: Handle the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor carefully. A damaged IAT sensor will affect proper operation of the fuel injection system.




REMOVAL PROCEDURE
Typical IAT Sensor shown.
1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Remove the electrical connector.
3. Carefully grasp the sensor and with a twisting and pulling motion, remove the IAT sensor from air intake duct.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Typical IAT sensor shown.
1. Install the IAT Sensor into the hole.
2. Connect the electrical connector to the IAT Sensor.
