A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the engine air cleaner.
2. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor.
4. Remove the refrigerant pressure sensor from the liquid line.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Lubricate a new O-ring seal with mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
2. Install the new O-ring seal.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the refrigerant pressure sensor to the liquid line.

Tighten
Tighten the refrigerant pressure sensor to 4.7 N.m (41 lb in).

4. Connect the electrical connector to the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor.
5. Connect the battery negative cable.
6. Install the engine air cleaner in computers and control systems 3.1L or Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement off front diagonal brace.
