Endgate Lock Striker Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Open the endgate.
2. Mark the location of the endgate strikers with a grease pencil.
3. Remove the screws from the endgate strikers.

Important: Mark the endgate strikers and shims (RT or LT) for reinstallation.


4. Remove the endgate strikers and shims from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the endgate strikers and shims to the locations marks.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the screws to the endgate strikers.

Tighten the endgate strikers to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).

3. Close the endgate and inspect for proper fit and operation.
4. Adjust the endgate, if required. Refer to Endgate Hinge Replacement (Endgate Hinge Replacement).
