Heater Case/Cover Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the right instrument panel insulator.
2. Remove the left instrument panel insulator.
3. Remove the center console.
4. Remove the transmission range selector.
5. Remove the console bracket.
6. Remove the floor duct brace.
7. Remove the floor duct.
8. Remove the screws retaining the heater outlet duct.
9. Remove the heater outlet duct.
10. Remove the IP harness to heater core cover tie strap.




11. Remove the screws retaining the heater core cover.
12. Remove the heater core cover.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the heater core cover.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the heater core cover retaining screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 0.9 N.m (8 lb in).




3. Install the IP harness to heater core cover tie strap.
4. Install the heater outlet duct.
5. Install the heater outlet duct screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 0.9 N.m (8 lb in).

6. Install the floor duct.
7. Install the floor duct retaining nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 0.9 N.m (8 lb in).

8. Install the floor duct brace.
9. Install the floor duct brace retaining nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

10. Install the console bracket.
11. Install the transmission range selector.
12. Install the center console.
13. Install the left instrument panel insulator.
14. Install the right instrument panel insulator.
