Uplevel Cluster

During vehicle startup the IPC sends a class 2 message to the BCM indicating it is an uplevel cluster. When the DIC menu is set in the Personalization Press Set to Begin" menu and the vehicle is in PARK the IPC sends a class 2 message to the BCM if the Set button is pressed on the DIC. Upon receipt of the class 2 message from the BCM the cluster shall activate the program mode indicator in the message center. The IPC will also receive a class 2 message from the BCM indicating which message shall be displayed. Then any time the mode or set button is pressed the IPC sends a class 2 message to the BCM. The IPC continues to display the message requested by the BCM until the BCM commands off or the IPC receives a class 2 message indicating the vehicle is moving. The IPC exits from personalization and return to the top of the menu that displays the temperature and compass. The IPC also turns off the program mode indicator.
