Air Injection Vacuum Control Solenoid Valve: Service and Repair

SECONDARY AIR INJECTION (AIR) VACUUM CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the ignition control module and coils.
2. Remove the vacuum lines from the solenoid.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the solenoid.
4. Remove the solenoid to bracket fastener.
5. Remove the solenoid from the bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the solenoid to the bracket.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the solenoid to bracket fastener.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Install the electrical connector to the solenoid.
4. Install the vacuum lines to the solenoid.
5. Install the ignition control module and coils.
