Heater Core Cover Replacement- Automatic

HEAT CORE COVER REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the right I/P insulator.
2. Remove the left I/P insulator.
3. Remove the I/P compartment.
4. Remove the center floor air outlet.




5. Remove the screws retaining the heater outlet duct.
6. Remove the heater outlet duct.
7. Disconnect the I/P harness to heater core cover tie strap.




8. Remove the screws retaining the heater core cover.
9. Remove the heater core cover.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the heater core cover.
2. Install the heater core cover retaining screws.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 0.9 N.m (8 lb in).

3. Connect the I/P harness to heater core cover tie strap.




4. Install the heater outlet duct.
5. Install the heater outlet duct screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 0.9 N.m (8 lb in).

6. Install the center floor air outlet.
7. Install the I/P compartment.
8. Install the left I/P insulator.
9. Install the right I/P insulator.
