Power Steering Return Hose Replacement

Power Steering Return Hose Replacement (LA1)

Removal Procedure
1. Remove the drive belt.





2. Disconnect the pressure line from the power steering pump.





3. Disconnect the return hose from the power steering pump.
4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
5. Remove the right side engine splash shield.
6. Disconnect both lines from the retaining clip.
7. Disconnect the return line from the cooling pipe.
8. Remove the return hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure
1. Position the power steering return hose to the vehicle.
2. Connect the return line to the cooler pipe.
3. Connect both lines to the retaining clip.
4. Install the right side engine splash shield.
5. Lower the vehicle.





6. Connect the return hose to the power steering pump.





7. Connect the pressure line to the power steering pump.
8. Install the drive belt.
9. Bleed the power steering system.
