Alarm Module: Service and Repair
THEFT DETERRENT CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENTREMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 in Restraint Systems.
2. Remove the trim covers.
3. Remove the theft deterrent module wiring harness from the steering column harness.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector.
5. Pull the theft deterrent module (2) away from the lock cylinder housing (1).
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Push the theft deterrent module (2), onto the lock cylinder housing (1).
2. Install the theft deterrent wiring harness to the steering column harness.
3. Connect the electrical connector.
4. Replace the steering column trim covers.
5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 in Restraint Systems.
6. Program the new theft control module. Refer to Programming Theft Deterrent System Components. Programming and Relearning
