Knock Sensor: Service and Repair





Knock Sensor (KS) Replacement


Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the intake manifold.

3. Remove the wiring harness assembly for the knock sensor.





4. Remove the knock sensor.





Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice on in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the knock sensor. Tighten the knock sensor to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).







2. Install the wiring harness assembly for the knock sensor.

3. Install the intake manifold.

4. Connect the negative battery cable.
