Antenna Control Module: Service and Repair

RADIO ANTENNA MODULE REPLACEMENT

Removal Procedure





1. Ensure that the radio is turned OFF.
2. Remove the rear quarter upper trim panel.
3. Disconnect the FM antenna/demister connector (1), and the AM antenna connector (2), from the rear window connectors.
4. Disconnect three connectors (3, 4, 5), from the antenna amplifier module (6).
5. Remove two screws (7), securing the antenna amplifier to the vehicle.
6. Remove the amplifier retaining screws, then remove the amplifier from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure





1. Position the amplifier in the vehicle.

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install two screws (7), securing the antenna amplifier to the vehicle.

Tighten
Tighten the antenna amplifier screws to 7 N.m (62 Ib in).


3. Connect three connectors (5, 4, 3), from the antenna amplifier module (6).
4. Connect the AM antenna connector (2), and the FM antenna/demister connector (1), to the rear window connectors.
5. Install the rear quarter upper trim panel.
6. Check for radio reception.
