Lumbar Support Actuator Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. With a flat-bladed tool remove the lumbar actuator knob.
2. Through the opening in the seat cushion cover, remove the lumbar actuator screws.
3. Remove the actuator (1) from the seat cushion frame.
4. Disengage the cable conduit (3) from the retainer on the actuator (1). Remove the cable conduit (3) from the retainer on the actuator (1).
5. Rotate the cable end (2) 90 degrees upward. Remove the cable end (2) from the actuator (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the cable end (2) to the actuator (1). Rotate the cable end (2) 90 degrees downward.
2. Install the cable conduit (3) to the retainer on the actuator (1). Press the cable conduit (3) into retainer on the actuator (1) until fully engaged.
3. Install the actuator (1) to the seat cushion frame.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Through the opening in the seat cushion cover, install the actuator screws.

Tighten the screw to 1.2 N.m (10 lb in).

5. Align the actuator knob to the splines on the actuator (1). Press the actuator knob until fully engaged on the actuator (1).
