Door Adjustment - Front
Removal Procedure
UP/Down or In/Out Adjustment
Notice: Refer toPaint Damage Notice in Cautions and Notices.
1. Apply masking tape to the fender and the door edges.
2. Loosen the door side hinge bolts in the specified sequence (1, 2, 3, 4). Do not remove the bolts all the way.
3. Adjust the door up or down by repositioning the front door as needed.
4. Adjust the door in or out by repositioning the front door as needed.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Refer toFastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
1. Tighten the door side hinge bolts in the specified sequence (1, 2, 3, 4).
Tighten the bolts to 33 Nm (24 lb ft).
2. Inspect the door for proper operation.
3. Remove the masking tape.
Removal Procedure
Fore/Aft Adjustment
1. Remove the front fender insulator to gain access to the upper and lower hinge bolts located in the hinge pillar. Refer toFender Sound Insulator Replacement - Front in Body Front End.
Notice: Refer toPaint Damage Notice in Cautions and Notices.
2. Apply masking tape to the fender and door edges.
Loosen the upper body side hinge bolts (1, 2). Do not remove the bolts all the way.
3. Loosen the lower hinge bolts to the hinge pillar side.
4. Adjust the door for and aft by repositioning the door as needed.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Refer toFastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
1. Tighten the upper body side hinge bolts (1, 2).
Tighten the bolts to 33 Nm (24 lb ft).
2. Install the front fender insulator. Refer toFender Sound Insulator Replacement - Front in Body Front End.
3. Tighten the lower hinge bolts to the hinge pillar side.
Tighten the bolts to 33 Nm (24 lb ft).
4. Inspect the door for proper operation.
5. Remove the masking tape.
