Hazard Flashers Stay On Intermittently/Cannot Be Turned Off (Replace Body Control Module (BCM))

Models:
2005-2006 Pontiac GTO

Condition

Some customers may comment that the hazard flashers intermittently stay on (not flashing) and cannot be turned off in spite of operation of the hazard flasher switch.

Cause

This condition may be caused by improper function of an internal relay within the body control module.

Correction

Replace the body control module. Refer to the Body Control Module Replacement procedure in SI.
