Battery Tray Replacement



BATTERY TRAY REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the battery box.
2. Disconnect the battery cable retainers (1) from the battery tray.




3. Remove the battery air outlet duct fastener.
4. Remove the battery air outlet duct from the battery tray.




5. Remove the battery tray bolts.
6. Remove the battery tray from the inner fender.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the battery tray to the inner fender.
2. Install the battery tray bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




3. Install the battery air outlet duct to the battery tray.

IMPORTANT: Ensure that the outlet duct is properly aligned with the battery tray and that it is securely fastened to the rail.

4. Install the battery air outlet duct fastener.




5. Connect the battery cable retainers (1) to the battery tray.
6. Install the battery box.
