Oil Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair

Engine Oil Pressure Sensor and/or Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle.




2. Disconnect the oil pressure indicator switch electrical connector (2).




3. Remove the oil pressure indicator switch from the engine block.

Installation Procedure




1. Apply sealer to the oil pressure indicator switch threads.

Notice: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice.

2. Install the oil pressure indicator switch.

Tighten the switch to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).




3. Connect the oil pressure indicator switch electrical connector (2).
4. Lower the vehicle.
