Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair



AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the air cleaner intake duct.




2. Disconnect the mass air flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.




3. Remove the air cleaner assembly bolt (2).
4. Remove the air cleaner assembly (1).
5. If replacing the air cleaner assembly, remove the MAF sensor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. If the air cleaner assembly (1) was replaced, install the MAF sensor.




2. Install the air cleaner assembly (1) by inserting the two rubber alignment grommets into the radiator core support behind the right headlight.

3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.

Install the air cleaner assembly attachment bolt (2).

Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




4. Connect the MAF sensor electrical connector.
5. Install the air cleaner intake duct.
