Oil Level Indicator and Tube Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the spark plug wire from the number 6 cylinder spark plug.
2. Remove the oil level indicator.
3. Remove the oil level indicator tube bracket bolt.
4. Remove the oil level indicator tube.



Installation Procedure





1. Clean the oil level indicator tube.
2. Apply sealant around the oil level indicator tube 12.7 mm (0.50 in) below the bead. Refer to Sealers, Adhesives, and Lubricants (Specifications) .
3. Install the oil level indicator tube into the engine block.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .

4. Install the oil level indicator tube bracket bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

5. Install the oil level indicator.
6. Install the spark plug wire to the number 6 cylinder spark plug.
