Front Seat Back Frame Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution (Battery Disconnect Caution) .
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair) .
Caution: Refer to SIR Caution (SIR Caution) .
2. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair) in SIR.
3. Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket) .
4. Remove the outer trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement) .
5. Remove the front seat-back. Refer to Front Seat Back Replacement (Front Seat Back Replacement) .
6. Remove the front seat-back cover. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement (Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement) .
7. Discard the seat-back frame.



Installation Procedure

1. Install the front seat-back cover. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement (Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement) .
2. Install the seat-back. Refer to Front Seat Back Replacement (Front Seat Back Replacement) .
3. Install the outer trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement) .
4. Install the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket) .
Caution: Refer to SIR Caution (SIR Caution) .
5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair) in SIR.
6. Connect the battery ground cable to the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair) .
7. Test the seat for correct mechanical and electrical operation.
