Knock Sensor Replacement - Bank 1

Removal Procedure





Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution (Service Precautions) .
Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution (Safety Glasses Warning) .
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair) .
2. Disconnect the wiring harness retaining clip (1).




3. Remove the knock sensor (KS) electrical (1) connector from the KS (2)
4. Remove the KS (3) to engine block retaining bolt (2).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the KS (3) to engine block retaining bolt (2).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .



Tighten the KS bolt to 23 N.m (17 lb ft).





2. Install the knock sensor (KS) electrical (1) connector to the KS (2)
3. Lower the vehicle.
