Knock Sensor Replacement - Bank 2

Removal Procedure





1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the knock sensor (KS) electrical connector (1) from the KS (2).




3. Remove the KS to engine block retaining bolt (1) from the KS sensor.
4. Remove the KS (2) from the engine.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the KS (2) to the engine.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the KS to engine block retaining bolt (1).

Tighten the KS bolt (1)to 23 N.m (17 lb ft).





3. Install the KS electrical connector (1) to the K sensor (2).
4. Lower the vehicle.
