Transmission Support Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution (Safety Glasses Warning) .
Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution (Service Precautions) .
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the exhaust system. Refer to Exhaust System Replacement (LY7) ()Exhaust System Replacement (L98) (Service and Repair) .




3. Remove the transmission support to transmission mount retaining nuts.
4. Support the transmission with a suitable supporting stand.




5. Remove the transmission support to lower sub frame rail retaining bolts.
6. Remove the transmission support from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the transmission support to the vehicle.

Important: Do not fully tighten the transmission support mounting retaining bolts at this stage.


2. Install the transmission support to lower sub frame rail retaining bolts.
Do not fully tighten at this stage.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

3. Install the transmission support to transmission mount retaining nuts.

Tighten the nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

4. Remove the suitable supporting stand from the transmission.




5. Tighten the transmission support to under body retaining bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 55 N.m (41 lb ft).

6. Install the exhaust system. Refer to Exhaust System Replacement (LY7) ()Exhaust System Replacement (L98) (Service and Repair) .
7. Lower the vehicle.
