Engine Ground Strap Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution (Battery Disconnect Caution) .
1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair) .




2. Remove the ground strap to chassis retaining bolt (3).
3. Remove the ground strap to engine block retaining bolt (2).
4. Remove the ground strap (1) from the engine compartment.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the ground strap (1) to the engine compartment.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the ground strap to engine block retaining bolt (2).

Tighten the bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

3. Install the ground strap to chassis retaining bolt (3).

Tighten the bolt to xx N.m(xx lb ft).

4. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair) .
