Exhaust Hanger Mounting Bracket Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the exhaust hanger. Refer to Exhaust System Insulator, Hanger, Bracket Replacement (Exhaust System Insulator, Hanger, Bracket Replacement) .
2. Remove the exhaust hanger bracket bolt (3) (single exhaust).
3. Remove the exhaust hanger bracket (2) (single exhaust).




4. Remove the exhaust pipe rear hanger bracket bolts (dual exhaust).
5. Remove the exhaust pipe rear hanger bracket(s) (dual exhaust).




6. Loosen the left and/or right outboard rear bumper impact bar bolt (dual exhaust).
7. Remove the left and/or right inboard rear bumper impact bar bolt (dual exhaust).
8. Remove the exhaust muffler rear hanger bracket(s) (dual exhaust).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the exhaust muffler rear hanger bracket(s) (dual exhaust).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the left and/or right inboard rear bumper impact bar bolt (dual exhaust).

Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Tighten the left and/or right outboard rear bumper impact bar bolt (dual exhaust).

Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).





4. Install the exhaust pipe rear hanger bracket(s) (dual exhaust).
5. Install the exhaust pipe rear hanger bracket bolts (dual exhaust).

Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).





6. Install the exhaust hanger bracket (2) (single exhaust).
7. Install the exhaust hanger bracket bolt (3) (single exhaust).

Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

8. Install the exhaust hanger. Refer to Exhaust System Insulator, Hanger, Bracket Replacement (Exhaust System Insulator, Hanger, Bracket Replacement) .
